- 1/2 lemon including rind
- 4 stalks celery
- 1 medium cucumber
- 2 large kale leaves or two large handful greens (some examples are baby spinach, baby kale, swiss chard, romaine lettuce)
- 1 medium to large apple
1. Wash all ingredients thoroughly and cut ingredients to the size needed for your juicer.
2. Juice all ingredients. Make sure you juice the lemon first. The lemon helps prevents oxidation of the other ingredients and helps preserve the juice. Drink juice immediately or within 24 hours. If you have a slow masticating style juicer, the juice may keep longer. You will have to experiment for yourself. I find that after 24 hours the taste is off; its still ok but not great.
*Note: you may want to add one extra apple if you like things sweet.
